See another doctor.. no, he doesn’t know!!!
You may just need your tonsils out.
Seek a second opinion!

I have severe sleep apnea and can commiserate.
Have you had a sleep study performed? That will be more definitive than a doctor’s opinion. If so, how many sleep disruptions do you experience an hour? If the number is 10 or greater you could possibly benefit from a CPAP machine. Make sure you get a sleep study performed.
Some other ideas to improve your apnea:
Make sure you have clear nasal passages. See if you have allergies that are blocking your airway. Try Breath-rite strips. Try a nasal spray.
Exercise – its been proven to help
Lose weight – a little weight loss can improve apnea signficantly
Avoid sleeping on your back
Avoid sugars – especially 2 hours before bed.
I hope these suggestions help!

I suffer from sleep apnea too, and I’ve had to take the sleep test twice, but because I strongly protested the results from the first one (borderline). Now that i have my C-PAP machine, I sleep like never before, i wake up so rested!!!!!
I would suggest to tell your doctor to repeat the test.
Good luck!!!

Have you had a sleep study? If not, demand one from your doctor, or see another doctor. Sometimes you have to have two before before the treatment you need can be decided. Good luck.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.
